LOVE LETTER TO MY SON

Grey, I am so blessed to see you grow up every day. It’s such a joy to discover your antics, your true personality, and things that make you unique.

Every day, I work hard to celebrate your uniqueness, and not mold you to become like another JPaul.

If I pressure you to be exactly like me, then I have failed you as a father.

My dream is to see you rise and be the man God designed you to be. As your father, it is my great joy to lead you to Jesus.

The truth is, no matter how much I love you, our heavenly father will always love you more.

Son, I will fail you at times, but God will never fail you. Know that.

I remember when your mom was laboring in the delivery room, and your heartbeat was already faint, you never gave up. You fought hard, and you survived that ordeal.

At that moment, I already knew that you were a fighter. I know one day that you will fight for the dignity and well-being of others.

If there are days in your life that you feel small, know that you fought hard to live - and you succeeded.

When bad things happen, have faith that in your suffering, God’s Glory will be revealed.

Don't worry about money or what other people would think about you, because based on my personal experience, “dreams do really come true.”

As I write this, I want you to know that miracles do happen every day, and I pray that you always see the wonder in life. That no matter how gloomy the season is, there is still hope for a better tomorrow.

I love you so much, Gregory Peter. You are more than what I prayed for. You are more than what dreamed for. You are more than what you think you are.

When God planted you in your mother’s womb, He already planted a Holy Purpose for your life, and nothing can stop that.

I pray that as you grow up, you’ll be the most loving man you can be. Always look to St Joseph and Jesus about what manhood should really be.

Again, I love you so much. And I love your mom too. I love her every day.

Watch me love your mom as you grow up so that you’ll learn how to treat a lady well.

Son, you have what it takes. I believe in you.

I love you, son.
