A friend of mine recently asked me about why I respond to all the messages of people I don’t know on my Facebook page. He says I wasn’t obliged to respond to them because I don’t owe them anything.
I smiled at my friend and explained to him that I don’t do what I do to become popular, I do what I do because I love to share the blessings I received from God. It’s not that I’m perfect but I’m just sharing the blessing that was given to me as well.
When you look at the comments section of my Facebook page, www.facebook.com/jpaulhernandez, you’ll see all kinds of comments from people telling their story of misery and brokenness, some people comment that they agree with what I say, some people tag their friends, and some even write profanity and even bash my message.
When you see my inbox – oh my goodness – people send me novels of heartbreak stories about their lives. Most of them don’t even know that I’m a preacher; they’re just so touched by my videos, blogs, and write-ups.
Sharing the blessing is not about being perfect, but it’s just giving the blessing that you received to somebody else.
Once upon a time, somebody heard my brokenness story, and that person shared how it saved him from further misery and changed his life for the better.
Now I’m doing that because I hope that whoever I share my blessing to, will also one day share the blessing to someone else.
Also, imagine this: people who messages or comments on my page are so desperate for a solution that they’ll pour their hearts out to somebody they haven’t even met. Isn’t that crazy?!
But that’s the kind of world we live in; everyone is going through something bad. That’s why I need your help. I don’t need you to live perfect lives; I need you to help me share the blessing to someone who needs it.
Be kind to someone. Smile at someone. Forgive someone. Embrace someone.
You can do anything, just keep sharing the blessing.
The best is yet to come,
